Congratulations to each of our Achieving Higher award recipients for September 2026. This peer-nominated award recognizes individuals for their exemplary effort to do more than what is expected in service of their colleagues and our students.
Our first recipient this month is Shawn MacQueen - Ogden High School Teacher
"Shawn always arrives at collaboration meetings prepared and brings thoughtful data and creative ideas to connect physical education directly to student growth. He helps his fellow coaches and teachers see the real value and purpose of collaboration. By sharing examples and strategies with colleagues, he fosters a culture where setbacks are re-framed as stepping stones toward personal growth. He is a genuinely good person who uses his personal drive to get better to benefit our kids every single day."
